COVID-19 Safety Plan

July 2020

FHL Clinics has taken action consistent with guidance from our respective associations, as well as provincial and local authorities in order to reopen.  We have reinforced hygiene protocols, and will pause certain therapies and limit the number of people who may enter our clinic.

For the health and safety of our clients and staff, we are limiting the number of people into our clinic.  Some FHL Clinics employees are working remotely part of the week.  Our front door will be locked to limit the flow of individuals.  We are also encouraging online appointments and electronic payment so that client engagement can be contactless.

We screen for COVID-19 symptoms one to two business days in advance as well as upon arrival.

We have added signage around the office to remind everyone to maintain physical distance and to wash their hands or to use hand sanitizer upon entry.

Staff will wear masks and/or visors.  Clients are asked to wear masks as well.  Our counselling rooms have been rearranged so that clients and therapists are at least 2 metres apart.  We have installed plexiglass barriers in counselling rooms as an extra measure.

We have implemented cleaning protocols for all common areas and work space, such as regularly cleaning high touch surfaces.  We also have company policies to ensure good hygiene practices around the work space and during client sessions.

As the science and guidelines regarding COVID-19 change over time, so will industry guidance and government requirements.  FHL Clinics intends to adapt our procedures in accordance to these recommendations.
